I'm really new to linux, and i googled this problem and looked at every thread, i know i need to edit the xorg.conf file and add some code, the problem is i need to be root or something. Xorg.conf
doesnt exist in my /etc/X11/Xorg.conf path. so i need to create the file, yet i can never create the file because it says access denied. Yet im the only user on the pc so i should be root or administer anyway?. If anyone know hows to fix this problem it'd be greatly appriciated. Thanks Smile

Yes. What Linux distro are you using? Generally, you always have a root account (afaik) but some distros don't grant direct access to it. If you have something like Ubuntu, you have to run the sudo command. What exactly is the error you're getting? We may be able to help you step-by-step.

So you get that error when running Dolphin? Or when doing something else?

Try "sudo nano /etc/X11/xorg.conf" to edit the xorg.conf file
