Quote:It's way more than that. Sandy bridge was a huuuuuge boost for Dolphin. Then how come do both i5 760 @ 3.8GHz and i5 750 @ 3.7GHz beat i7 2600k @ 3.4GHz & i5 2500k @ 3.3GHz in Dolphin Benchmark ?Just do a math and see Sandy Bridge is slightly faster than Nehalem (not even 10%)
Ivy Bridge is barely faster than Sandy Bridge , as you can see in the benchmark : i7 3770 @ 3.9GHz is barely faster than i5 750 @ 3.9GHz
Up till now , only Haswell is able to give Dolphin huge boost (30% performance gain)
Edit : Well , i'm pretty sure i5 2600k and i5 2500k have turbo boost enabled by default , if you add turbo boost in calculation then it's clear that
Quote: i7 3770 @ 3.9GHz is barely faster than i5 750 @ 3.9GHzIn fact , I did a benchmark between i5 480M @ 2.93GHz and i5 2410M @ 2.7GHz . Both CPU performance are identical
