Lego Games Have Very Demanding Menus

I'm probably not the only person who has noticed this, but Lego games, at least on the Wii, seem to have very demanding menus. I can play them at a solid 60FPS in gameplay on my laptop, but anytime I load up the main menu when first opening the game, the game takes a serious dive in FPS. I was just wondering if anyone knows what causes this or why the menus are so demanding, or has experienced this.

what are your specs?

Some games do that - they run menus uncapped and Dolphin has shit GPU timings so it's trying to render it super fast and then it causes it to run slow. It's weird, but you'll see that in quite a few Wii games, but, thankfully not a lot of the popular ones. 007 Quantum of Solace is one that's famous for this.
