Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker [GC] Issues

Well, first I want to thank the people who helped me with my Harry Potter issues - thanks a ton!

Now I am having some problems with Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. The game itself is spectacular, beautiful graphics, fun gameplay. etc. However the FPS, VPS, and Speed drop dramatically as soon as I get to the main menu of the game. It starts out with FPS and VPS at 60 with a Speed of 100% but as soon as one gets to the main menu, the FPS and VPS drop by roughly half. I've tried everything to keep things at a speedy rate to make gameplay smooth but I have been running into dead ends on that regard.

Macbook Pro 2011 13"
Intel HD 3000 Graphics 384mb
2.3 Ghz Intel i5 processor
4GB RAM 1333 MHz DDR3

Make sure you set IR to 1x

I am going to level with you man, with integrated graphics and a low clock CPU, it will be tough to maintain playable framerates for Wind Waker.

As mentioned about, make sure you have 1x IR, HLE audio and use 3.0 unless someone else has a specific version that is faster for this game.
