I posted this a little bit earlier and it was moved to the controllers section, but it's actually not exactly a controller issue so I thought I'd revise it a little bit and post it here. Basically, the main left joystick on dolphin is constantly inputting left and it won't register anything else. This is on a normal keyboard with the default settings and I've restored to default and rebound them to test it too. I'm not sure why it'd do that but so far nothing has been able to change it. I only just got Dolphin yesterday and everything else is working great so... any tips? I'm running mostly default settings as I say

Windows 7 64 bit
Intel i7 Quad core 3370k 3.50GHz
NVIDIA GeForce 660
32 GB ram
resolution for full screen 1920x1080

Dolphin version 3.0-872

I should clarify that I can bind anything I want to the left joystick and it registers just fine, but when I get in game it just goes all the way to the left. It isn't like my actual keyboard is constantly inputting or that it isn't letting me bind the keys properly, there's some problem with how dolphin is actually treating that joystick

Anything related to keyboards, joysticks, or input goes in the Controller forum. We were gonna call it something like "Input" some time ago, which is a bit more descriptive, but it belongs here rather than Support.

Are you playing GC or Wii games? Can you post a screenshot of what your controls look like?

Trying GC games atm, it does it for all of them I've tried so far.

The screenshot should be attached.

Well for some reason it wouldn't let me post an attachment, so here's an imgur link:

I want to make sure of something though, you wouldn't be using save-states would you? Your settings look fine as far as I can tell.

I have not yet used a save-state, though I plan to once I get things working. As I say, I JUST downloaded the emulator yesterday and it was doing that before I really changed much of anything. Perhaps a re-download? I'd rather not but I suppose that might be the best option if all else fails

Be warned that save-states currently aren't 100% reliable; in-game saving is recommended for saving long-term progress, while save-states are better suited for other things (boss-battles, tricky time consuming puzzles or challenges, etc). But that's not related to your issue...

You can try redownloading, you also might want to try the official 3.0 build, the last stable release as opposed to the latest GIT releases (3.0-XXX builds).

Alright, I deleted everything, (after copying out the dsp_rom and dsp_coef files, dun wanna have to do that again lol), and downloaded the 3.0 one. I didn't really have any saves or anything so it I didn't need to copy anything else, I just re-do my controller bindings later.

So far it seems to be working. I'll change around the graphics and so on now and get the LLE audio working, thanks man

For some reason the cut scenes in Mario Sunshine look pretty crappy but overall the actual gameplay looks great
