Hmm, I shouldn't have said "if" there. We will definitely eventually do some sort of stable release to get 5.0 behind us. It just won't be "6.0". Our definition of what a stable release is will/has change/d, and that necessitates a new naming scheme.

Why not call it v5.5, since the evolution makes it impossible to be used on Win7-vista-Xp-2000...

Vista, XP, and 2000 were already unsupported in 5.0.

Anyway, let's not turn this into a thread talking about theoretical Dolphin releases. Windows 7 support is over, and we've moved on. The point of this article was to announce that fact and share our reasoning. With the bandaid ripped off, we're not going to put it back on. Any stable we release in the future will be looking forward, not backward.
