Hi. A friend had a problem with version 3.5, so he updated to the latest version to see if it would be fixed, but the latest version won't run either Metroid Prime or Sonic Adventure 2 Battle without staying at 0 FPS or constantly pausing. By the latter I mean the actual emulator pauses, and he has to switch to that window to unpause it, but the emulator immediately or after a very short time pauses again. Thanks for your help.

(I put his computer's specs into this account, since I created this just to solve this issue.)

How is he controlling the game, and has he edited any hotkeys? Could he be pressing pause by accident in some way?

He's controlling the game with a Rock Candy XBox One controller, he hasn't changed any hot keys, and he isn't pressing anything when the game pauses. The only settings he changed were binding the Gamecube buttons to his controller's buttons.

it maybe he accidentally mapped the pause hotkey on a button with another common function (A, B, etc.). I remember I did that once with a directional button and got confused as all hell.
