Hi All,

I've noticed that after the lastest update (5.0-10121) that games are running about 10% slower Sad Is there any reason why that is, and if anything I can do to improve things?

Thanks very much.

That's an unrelated commit to anything that impacts performance. You'll need to bisect to find out which build actually impacted performance for you if you want any information as you probably jumped several builds

Thanks Helios. I think it was only one jump, so the previous version to this one ran better.

Which version number does that have?
Can you try it out on your device to see if that actually runs the about 10% faster than the current build?
We can't do anything with an "I think" we need to be sure as Dolphin gets updated multiple times per day, so your "previous build" of yesterday might already have had 2+ commits/updates.
Check my profile for up to date specs.

Hi mstreurman,

Sorry for the late reply. Unfortunately I don't know what the previous version was that I was using, but they have all come from the Play Store, I've only been using those ones that get sent to the play store. I checked the history on the play store but it doesn't list previous versions unfortunately,

I've always played with emulator with the default settings mainly because I don't what how to improve the performance (if possible), and didn't want to break anything. I was hoping that by upgrading to the S10+ would have seen a significant improvement but it hasn't which is a shame.

Thanks for your reply anyway.
All the best.

Hello again,

I think I've found the problem as now I've got Dolphin running almost perfectly on my S10+ with only a couple of tweaks but they were significant enough. Of course every time the app gets updated automatically when available, your current settings remain unchanged and this may not always be a good thing for the latest build, as it was in this case. The biggest difference was turning off Audio Stretching & enabled Skip EFB Access from CPU and now the emulator runs almost flawlessly Smile

The game INIs for those games will disable it automatically for you, so it's usually fine to leave the setting enabled.

No, we can't.

If you keep posting about this in irrelevant topics, you are going to get banned.
