You moved somebody elses thread while they were still posted in it and expected us to now all instantly realize that this was "your thread"? Were you surprised that we continued talking about the subject we had been talking about?

Yes!
You can't just hijack someones thread like that. If I'm understanding you correctly you moved this thread then tried to say/imply "this is my thread now, here is the new topic, please change all current discussion to this one and forget about everything up to this point because it no longer matters".
You even named the poll off of the original topic. Not to mention people read the OP and thread title to determine the thread subject, neither of which were changed.
Now it all makes sense. Now I understand why it felt like I was talking to wall that was constantly trying to change the subject this entire time. Why we've been going to circles for pages and pages.
Edit: Alright I think I'm done for today. I'm tired and I have two weeks of the colbert report that I missed to catch up on.
You're a silly guy. I didn't hi-jack anything. This conversation didn't belong where it was right in the middle and off-topic in another thread. That's why it got moved. After that I decided to make sure it was going in the right direction here because it was a topic I was interested in exploring further.
Slickdragon was always talking about how laptop CPU's and GPU's were as good or almost as good as desktop components, so how far of a stretch is that from what I was talking about? He was basically saying the same thing that I was, only he left and I was still here talking. Naturally I have different ideas than he does, and we talked about them. I was the only one left making the laptop case, so naturally what I was saying had to be addressed by everyone since everyone else was on the desktop wagon. If it seemed like I was trying to convince you that a laptop is a good choice in a PC and the rest of the users were trying to convince me that a desktop is a good PC to use, it should have seemed like that, because that's what it was. Threads evolve, get off-topic and head in new directions, surely I don't have to explain that to you.
Hehe, you're good for a laugh though. I stole and hi-jacked a thread, then I proceeded to force everyone to talk about something that they didn't want to talk about. :p
