Exactly - laptops are meant to be portable, desktops - more powerful and expandable. It's like those 70-100 years old talks about radio killing press, TV killing radio etc. It never happened.
Some say "tablets made netbooks obsolete". For me typing 30+ pages of text on tablet is a very cruel form of torture. With netbook it's as easy as pie.
