I'm creating this topic since I've been having some trouble with this and not sure if anyone else has tried it.

So I'm linking my Gamecube with my PC to play Mario Kart and Kirby Air Ride. Sure enough, both systems are able to connect and has no trouble when navigating menus. When it comes to actual gameplay however, therein lies a few problems. For example, in Mario Kart, you can honk your horn and switch characters no problem. But if one player on either console tries to move (Accelerate for example) then the link breaks. In Kirby Air Ride, the game has a few synchronization problems.

So my question is if there's anything I should do for my PC in order to improve communication between the two systems? What am I doing wrong? Would it be better to link up to another PC running Dolphin instead? For that matter, is this a supported feature of the emulator?

AFAICT, yes the BBA is supported in Dolphin, but it's not 100% perfect. A number of people have reported sync issues, even when the GC and PC running Dolphin are connected directly with via ethernet in the same room. The same sync issues happen even with two PCs running Dolphin. Dunno if there's anything more you can do; it might be something for the devs to look at.

Ah, got it. I wasn't sure of what it's state would be like since I haven't really seen any discussion on it.
