Lag Spikes Without FPS Drop

Hello

I am experiencing a rather odd problem with Dolphin: while playing games at 60 FPS, I get random lag spikes, although the FPS doesn't drop (in some cases by 2-8 FPS max). I have tried a combination of settings, but to no avail.

I am running the 64-Bit edition of Dolphin 3.0-631 on an ASUS G74SX, and my specs are:

Windows 7 Home Premium
Intel i7-2670QM @2.20GHz (goes up to 3.10GHz in turbo)
12GB DDR3 RAM
GeForce GTX 560m

The games that I've tried up to now are Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Mario Kart Wii.

As for my settings:

Try checking limit by fps and v-sync. If that doesn't work then we have ruled out uneven frame distribution as the cause. Another probable cause is the shader cache. You could test that by deleting your shader cache files (the files in the /User/Shadercache/ directory) then seeing if that causes the problem to get worse.

Setting v-sync and fps limiting fixed the problem, thank you very much Big Grin
