I am getting lag spikes when trying to play any game. The game runs fine, but then the fps drops for around 5-10 seconds, then right back up to a good solid 60fps. Any ideas? Specs/Settings below. This is in fullscreen, haven't tested it in windowed mode.

Intel Core2Duo E8400 @ 4.0ghz
EVGA 460gtx 1GB
4gb DDR2 ram

1. Check your temps and make sure your cpu isn't overheating (that could cause throttling which would account for the sudden loss)

2. Turn off emulate format changes

3. Do not leave the framelimit off

4. Make sure audio throttle is off

5. Use one of the builds compiled by someone on the forums, which can be found in the svn discussion section.
