On my Nvidia Shield Android TV, for whatever reason, Super Smash Bros. Melee will somehow lag a lot during 1-on-1 battles, making the game run slower than normal. I know that playing any battle with three or four characters on screen at once slows the game down, but even on the least detailed stages, even if I set overclock to 0.500000, it'll still lag. Even though it's not a game-breaking bug, it really annoys me since it looks as if something in the settings are making this game run slow. I've tried to change the settings to see if I can get rid of this annoying lag, but it still occurs during gameplay. The only way I could get rid of this issue was to go to Dolphin.ini and change GPUDeterminismMode from "auto" to "fake-completion". At least it somehow fixes the lag that was occurring while I'm playing, but I'm not even sure what's causing it to occur in the first place. Does anyone else have the same problem while playing Super Smash Bros. Melee on Nvidia Shield Android TV using the latest build, or is it only happening on mine?

Melee just fine by changing GPUDeterminismMode from "auto" to "fake-completion" just to fix the lag issue (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XBgimkI3QU8). If my graphics were garbage, it would mostly run at around 30 FPS on 1-on-1 battles regardless of whether I change GPUDeterminismMode to "off" or "fake-completion". 08-10-2015, 06:04 AM

Melee for some odd reason. I'm not sure why the lag happens on this game when I use "auto", either. I'm hoping this issue might be fixed later as this lag is starting to annoy me while I play 1-on-1 battles. 08-10-2015, 06:10 AM
I'm saying fake-completion isn't fixing anything; you're having other issues. You should probably look elsewhere for a real solution.

Melee using Single Core and I've found out that while using Single Core, the framerates mostly stayed the same during 1-on-1 battles (although it runs slower than Dual Core, it didn't lag as badly as Dual Core did) while Dual Core continuously slowed down during gameplay. If this is true, something in Dual Core might be causing Super Smash Bros. Melee to lag a lot. 08-13-2015, 09:40 AM
I've tested out another game titled Mario Party 4 and the same thing happened; fortunately, I've recorded a video showing the performance of using both "off" and "fake-completion" while playing this game (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tdegu5E2YUk).
