Hey. Finally got Project M (same graphics as Brawl) to work on my PC, but it's not quite there yet. I'm getting some FPS lag and stuttering when playing.

My specs are:

GeForce GTX 670
i5 4670K
16 GB DDR3
Windows 7 ultimate

I've gone through and checked all points in the performance guide, but it hasn't helped much. Also tried different native resolutions, but the difference from native to 1.5x native is marginal.

Any tips for what I can do to fix this? Do I need PC upgrades?

Thanks

Is the lag only when you select a new stage you haven't used before? If so, that would be shader compilation, and there isn't a fix yet, but there are some in the works.

Have you tried the latest dev build (4.0-8818 as of this post)
Do you have Windows set to high performance in Power Options?
Do you have Nvidia control panel set to High performance for Dolphin?

Are you overheating? Do you have lots of demanding things running in the background?

Thanks for the replies!

I've tried up to 4.0-8750, but the newer versions don't work with netplay, so I'm stuck with 8586.
Tried high performance in windows now. Didn't help
High performance in nvidia control panel didn't really help either.

NKF98: No, I'm not overheating. Been monitoring temps closely. GPU peaks at 69C at full load
