So I got Dolphin up and running on my dedicated emulator box (i3570K @ 4.6Ghz, GTX560Ti, 8GB RAM) the other day and it was working great. I actually had to use my on board video (so just Intel HD4000 graphics) because I didn't have a mini hdmi to hdmi adapter at the time but I played Smash Brothers Melee 4-player and there was zero lag what-so-ever. However there were audio glitches a lot so I looked this up and found that I should use DSP LLE audio. I did this and it did fix the audio issues the next day however I started noticing some serious lag/slowness when playing 4 player FFA's in Melee. At first I thought to myself maybe this is because I'm using on-board video but then I remembed I had used on-board video the day before as well. Could LLE audio be causing this slowness? I mean everything I've read says that my CPU should be powerful enough to run Melee without any issues.

Lag caused by LLE audio?

If its helpful, as of dev build 3.5-78, the branch new-ax-hle was merged. Basically that new branch fixed allot of the (gamecube) bugs in DSP HLE. If you try any build that revision or later, you should be able to switch back to HLE and have the speed you had originally, but without the glitches.

Is there a recommended revision right now? When I go to about it says Revision: 47985...................... 12-31-2012, 03:11 PM
The current stable revision is 3.5, but the ax-hle merger happened after that. Go to http://dolphin-emu.org/download/ , and download the latest development version (Right now thats 3.5-122).

Are you using LLE on thread?

Yeah, LLE on thread can provide a speed up on multicore CPUs when u use LLE.
hint: Zelda uCode games may crash randomly when LLE on thread is enabled. Don't forget this! ![]() 01-01-2013, 05:45 AM
