Has anyone had experience with the dealextreme or ebay knockoff wiimote pluses? I'd rather not spend $40 on a legit wiimote plus if a knock-off one works too.

You might be taking a risk with a non-Nintendo made Wiimote. Spending the extra cash on a Nintendo Wiimote will ensure that it will work. It's up to you.
Asus Laptop: K53TA
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium, 64-Bit - SP1 CPU: AMD Llano A6-3400M, Quad-Core, 1.4GHz-2.6GHz (Overclocked) GPU: AMD Radeon HD6650M, 1GB GDDR3 (Catalyst 13.1) RAM: Samsung 4GB DDR3-1333
I heard the deal extreme ones don't work for crap, your way better off buying official nintendo stuff, the quality is superior and you will have zero problems with it, I just made the investment today and I have to tell ya, I will never use a third party nintendo controller again!!!

I got two DX wiimotes, and except the little brighter LEDs there is nothing I could distinguish the fake ones from the originals I have.
No difference in sensitivitiy both for gyroscope and IR. I would always buy the dx ones angain 11-20-2011, 01:50 AM
