Kirby Epic Yarn freezes during initial load screen

I'm trying to get Kirby Epic Yarn to start, but it just freezes once you start a save file. The Dolphin wiki says the emulation is perfect for this game. Are there any settings that need to be set a certain way?

You probably have a bad dump, and he meant latest development build.

I just started playing this game yesterday, and did not have an issue with the boot screen in the latest dev build.

How do you install dev builds? (Windows 8.1 x64)

Download it and extract the folder to a location that isnt the stable install path (like your desktop). Then just run Dolphin.exe.
Your settings will be carried over since Dolphin uses a Global directory folder to save files outside of the individual build folders (its in Document)

Then you probably have a bad copy of the game. Try redumping the game

Is Kirby Epic Yarn a 2-Layer game (like Brawl)? I ripped it in single layer mode the first time, because the game seemed more simple than other games.
