Alright! Enough talk, here's my first set of textures (not final, but petty solid), I guess you could say it's version 1.0 or something.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/sh8tbty67l4ml4...1.zip?dl=0 (edited to have version 1.0.1) Almost all of the major building textures are in there as well as most of the terrain, boxes (redone), some GUI, and some menu textures. All of them should have a corresponding .svg file that can be edited in inkscape if the textures aren't to you liking. I'll probably occasionally update here with new stuff since there are still many more minor textures to be made. Just a heads-up, some textures do overlap with killerbomb's since I felt the need to modify them. Just rename whichever one you choose not to use. Feel free to use as you like, just please don't claim them as your own (link to this thread). Enjoy. 02-19-2016, 08:17 AM
Very nice guitar bro! I'm a harsh critic, but from what I've seen you do a nice job preserving the art style.
However, because I'm so harsh, I do notice some differences. Including... The mipmaps for the "green background dot" floor pattern used near the dilapidated houses has thinner edges/appears more circular than ovular compared to the original. The depth of the lines used for the tan-ish tile floor by the yellow building in front of the City Wharf is thicker than the original. The light highlights for the dark green grass used in the golf course displays the darker background in between the blades. (Making the "blades" look like they have holes in them.) The ground running between the green and blue buildings facing the volcano have a sharper geometry than a smoother one used. And those were just the textures that didn't overlap with killerbomb or gameboy. Other than those minor qualms, I'll certainly be using what you've provided. Nice job!
Windows 7 x64 (SP1)
nVidia GeForce GTX 760 (Gigabyte GV-N760OC-2GD REV2.0) 2GB GDDR5 @ 1100 MHz (6020 MHz memory) Intel Core i7-4770 @ 3.90GHz 8GB G.Skill Sniper Low Voltage edition, Dual Channel @ 1600MHz 9-9-9-24
Glad it's mostly to your liking.
I did take a few artistic liberties in translating the textures, but there very well might be some things I overlooked, so I'll try and address them. It's a minor detail though, so that's why I just made it satisfactory for the moment. Can you provide a comparison screenshot? Other than that, you may notice some slight oddities with a few other textures as they were simply svg-ified with Inkscape's image trace tool. Those will eventually be hand adjusted also. Also, I noticed one of the building texture files has an error with the large white building's roof. I'll upload a quick fix for some of these in a few days. 02-19-2016, 01:24 PM
Scratch that, I just made some of those tweaks right now (though more will be made in the future, of course). Unfortunately, some textures just are poorly made (that tan tile one doesn't actually seamlessly tile, guess the devs figured nobody would notice) so I have to modify it slightly so it looks right in HD.
Anyways, just copy and paste this over the previous pack to overwrite any changes. https://www.dropbox.com/s/sh8tbty67l4ml4...1.zip?dl=0 (10-20-2016, 05:21 AM)kjpsonic Wrote: Is this project still being worked on? Well, Idk about the maker of this thread, but I've been doing some occasional texturing still that I haven't released since it's not finished. Most of the major city textures were in my previous .zip so I kinda slowed down. 10-20-2016, 07:26 AM

I hope this entire project does get finished in the future and thank you for keeping it up to date. 10-20-2016, 07:54 AM
No problem. I wish someone had the patience to do all the fonts correctly in HD, though. That's way too time consuming for me.
My friends are are unofficially continuing the project
We have already finished 90% of City Trial We have no plans to overhaul the font textures nor touch Top/Air Ride ONLY City Trial!!! http://pre12.deviantart.net/710c/th/pre/...aj4hzq.png |
