Hey guys! I'm new, so please be patient if I ask seemingly simple questions as I know very little about emulators (though I wish to learn). 
So I have Windows 7 64 bit. 8 G ram, quad core 2.5 ghtz processor, and some other decent specs, so I figured I would be able to handle Dolphin. I installed Dolphin, had my Zelda Wind Waker rom ready, then I simply started it. It brings up the menu screen (running pretty well)... but then im stuck! I don't have a game controller and want to use the keyboard, but it acts as if my keyboard isn't there. I went into the configurations and set all the keys I wished, but it acts as if my keyboard isn't there. What am I doing wrong?
