I've tried and tried, Googled and Googled, and even downloaded different versions, but I cannot use my keyboard with the Dolphin emulator on Mac OS X 10.8.2

I'm wishing to use it with a Gamecube game.

Gamecube config:

GCPad config:

I just don't know what I'm doing wrong.

Oh, this one's simple. Use the input that says "Keyboard" at the beginning, like so:

Okay, now I have this: http://i.imgur.com/mIg64.png

But if I start up my game, and press enter/return on my keyboard, it still won't go past the start screen. I've got an Apple bluetooth keyboard set up as well, and I try it on that as well as the internal and neither works.

Ty re-setting all the keys (or just hit the Default button). If that's no help, try other inputs.

If you're using an older build of Dolphin, try the current one (3.0-845): http://dolphin-emu.org/download/

Tried your resetting suggestion; no luck. Tried updating; no luck.

I'm playing Wind Waker. It says press start. According to that config page Start is mapped to return, so my return key should do it, right?

Try deleting ~/Library/Application Support/Dolphin/Config/GCPadNew.ini? (If you don't know how to get there, click on your desktop, click "Go" in the menubar, hold the option key and click "Library", and navigate to Application Support, then Dolphin, then Config.)

I know that this is an old thread, but I don't like seeing a problem unsolved.

I was having this trouble myself, and after tinkering with the settings, I finally found out the solution.

Go to config --> Wii

Under "Device Settings" check the "Connect USB Keyboard". That should let Dolphin detects your USB keyboard input, assuming you use a USB keyboard that is.

Hope it helps.
