No slowmotion, no superspeed, just perfect. One side effect of all this is that some of the cutscenes goes ultrafast now. But i don`t mind. It is the gameplay that matters. Thank you very much One side question though: Will like 640 x 480 be less demanding to the computer than 720p? Like i said earlier in this thread i had more FPS on a 1366x768 than on 640x480
Ok so i have come to a conclusion after several days after tweaking around with the tools. This is revision 6110 and im playing around with Super Mario Galaxy. My system spec you can find somewhere on this thread. Hope some people can get some valuable information about my experience.
1. DX9 performs the best on my hardware. DX11 lowered my average FPS of 10 FPS! And i have a DX10 compatible GPU (GT 240M) 2. OpenCL disabled with the faster XFB enabled did exact same on my FPS and speed of the game. 3. SSAA with 4X enabled totally ra**d my computer real bad. Gamespeed went down drasticly, and FPS dropped down to around 20!! 4. Enable 16x Anisotropic filtering reduced somehow the CPU fanspeed and FPS went up about 5 FPS. Anyone care to explain that? Does the GPU somehow relieve the CPU by doing some work? 5. Enable real XFB destroyed my graphic. Everything got pixelated and the graphic was aweful to look at. 6. Enabling the "overlay some statistics" did not have an impact on this revision and the gamespeed/FPS like suggested on the other thread. 7. Lock threads to core enabled did not do anything. 8. Resolution comparison: 1366 x 768 is my prefered resolution. 1024 x 768 got my FPS to climb up about 5-6 FPS. Lowering my resolution to 640 x 480 got my FPS up another 5-6 FPS but then the graphic was damn ugly. Impossible to play at that res. 9. Disabling the Audio Throttle did not increase my gamespeed or my FPS WHEN playing BUT increased the cutscenes and loading by 5 times or so. When loading the game i got 300 FPS (lol) and insane speed when the Audio Throttle was disabled. In the cutscene where a movie was played and the Princess was kidnapped i got around 200 FPS and insane gamespeed. With the Audio Throttle enabled i got around 60 FPS when the game was loading and normal load speed. Seems like this option only impacts the movies and loading... 10. The setup im using now: Enabled: - Dual core - Iddle skipping - Framelimit off - Enable OpenCL - JIT recompiler - 1366x768 - PAL60 mode - Dolphin Direct3D9 - SSAA None - Enable CPU-EFB Access - Enable 16X anistropic filtering - EFB scaled copy - Disable fog - Enable EFB copy to texture - Use native mipmaps That setup got my FPS to 40-60 FPS and gamespeed to 100%, but sometimes the gamespeed drops down to around 90-95% but very rare. So all in all im very pleased although i dont know what FPS people should be pleased with. Anyone who knows?? |
