OK, before i continue with the questions i would like to say that ive tried a lot of things to fix this problem. I`m not posting this on the forum because im lazy Angel

I am currently using Dolphin 2.0 64 bit on Windows 7 64bit. I am trying to play Super Mario Galaxy 1 with my laptop keyboard, but get stuck when loading the game because it tells me to "Connect wiimote to player1 wiimote"!
Ive set the "Input source" to "Emulated wiimote". Ive gone to "Button Mapping" to set up my desired setup. I chose to use what was default there and under "wiimote" and "nunchuck", i selected "keyboard".
I tried going to "Options - configure - plugins" and chose to configure the "Dolphin wiimote plugin", and its the only plugin i can select under "Wiimote". Is it possible to make a new plugin for the Wiimote?
I also tried doing the same with "Gamecube Tab".

No success. The only key that works while the game is loading is the "menu button" which brings me to some sort of Wii menu.
I tried updating my DirectX to the newest one. I tried downloading different build versions of Dolphin. A lot of them i got error messages telling me "input missing" "dll. file missing" "cannot init core", but this Dolphin Version (2.0) i dont get any of those error messages.
Ive read trough the FAQ on this and other forums and "How to setup your Dolphin" "How to setup your keyboard" etc etc. Cannot find any that helps me with this problem.

So what am i doing wrong? How do i get my keyboard to work with this game!

I appriciate any help i can get. Thank you Smile

Alright, I dunno if this is a hardware related problem (I don't think so), but try this: Microsoft VC++ 2008 SP1 Redist 32 Bit - Microsoft VC++ 2008 SP1 Redist 64 Bit.
New computer, I'm back!

Done!
Did not work. Same problems as mentioned. I have a very new machine so it is weird if its hardware related. Worth to mention that a N64 emulator works perfect on this machine with keyboard :/

in tools select connect wiimote 1

Checkout my latest project ( it is a program that downloads and compiles dolphin on mac and linux now): http://code.google.com/p/dolphin-emu-downloader (It's unofficial and maintained by me, not the dolphin dev team)

Ah, i did what u said shawnanastasio and it worked. I just had to select to emulate the nunchuch as well amd now the keyboard works perfectly.

BUT another weird error came along. The game seems to somehow go in a little slowmotion, not super slowmotion but not full speed. Almost like its some sort of choppy when running in the game. At 1366x768 resolution I get around 35-45 FPS, 60 VPS and 95-100% speed. When there is a cutscene i get 60FPS and the game seems to run at perfectly with no chopping when the cutscene is rolling. And with 640x480 resolution i get 20FPS, 60 VPS and 100%. Cutscene 60FPS. Shouldnt i get more FPS with this resolution?? Anyone here who can give me some tips on what configuration is the best to run the game smooth? What resolution, anti aliasing etc....
I have the newest DirectX, i have the newest graphic driver, windows is updated.

I have a decent computer, so it should not run slow.
Intel Core i7 720QM 2.6 GHz
Geforce Nvidia GT 240 M
4 GB 1333 MHz RAM
160 GB Intel G2 X25-M SSD drive

Super Mario Galaxy are the most heavy game ,you might oc your CPU over than 3Ghz to have the decent speed(not recommend for laptop),Nvidia 240M is bad for dolphin(use search button then you'll know why)
Or get this lastest SSE4.2 build http://www.megaupload.com/?d=4ILT0FA2
Config dolphin :http://www.dolphin-emu.org/configuration-explanation.html (Check Enable EFB -> CPu access for SMG and Zelda TP only, other games let it uncheck)
Laptop: (Show Spoiler)

Thank you for the config link. You cannot really say that my computer isnt good enough to run the game smooth do you? Mine is very good and if the CPU isnt good enough, means people have to overclock their CPU? CPUs over 3.0 GHz isnt very mainstream to say it mild. Too bad my GPU isnt compatible with the Dolphin :/. Maybe that is why it is choppy?
What is the SSE4.2 build and what does it do?

Thank you for responding Smile

SSE is the instruction of Your CPU.The higher they are the more speed you get
SSE4.2(Intel i3/i5/i7,AMD black edition) > SSE4.1(Intel core 2 duo E7xxx,8xxx) >SSSE3(Intel Dualcore) >SSE3(Pentium 4/D,AMD dualcore) >SSE2
P.S I didn't say your pc is weak but 2.6Ghz isn't enough to play SMG fullspeed (you can run most 80% other games fullspeed)

So overclocking is something you have to do to have a pleasurable gaming experience with Dolphin? What is so huge about Super Mario Galaxy compared to other Wii games?
The SSE4.2, is that something that follows my driver disk from my manufacturer of this laptop or is it something people have to obtain themselves?
Sorry about my negativity but i didnt know emulating was that demanding lol Big Grin

Basically say,SSE is something inside your CPU not a software you can oftain from a disc.Your i7 can support SSE4.2 and dolphin build with SSE4.2 can give you max speed that all
