FX 8350 is indeed better in heavily multi-threaded application
but please keep in mind that not all games can use all 8 cores 8 threads
Games like StarCraft 2 is a dual core application , you can check some benchmarks . i5 2400 beats FX 8350 by huge margin

Even if you overclock FX-8350 , it's still no match for i5 2500k . Don't even think of i5 3570k or i5 4670k
