Hello everybody, I am currently trying to run Muramasa: The Demon Blade in HD (720p). While this works great on v2.0 of Dolphin I'm getting some graphical errors in the menus (no big deal I guess). However the latest svns that I've tried fix this error but my frame rate seems to drop considerably in the menus or when I try to buy something in the game, and they generally don't stay smooth like in 2.0 either (seems a bit slower even when it says 60FPS). I don't want to be a pain, I'm just wondering if anybody else is getting this kind of thing, or if I just have to wait for later svns. And now for my details: I get lower fps in the last 3 revisions I've tried and my specs are: Intel core I3 M330 @ 2.13GHz, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470 (512MB VRAM), 3GB RAM DDR3. That's kind of it. The reason for this post is that I enjoy the latest releases more than 2.0 but the lower FPS in them makes them overall less practical for me. Again I don't want to be a douche, just wondering how this all works. Thank you for your time
Just a few questions

For now the best thing to do is to find a revision that works well for you and use that revision for the games that you want to play. It seems like you've found a revision that works well for the game you want to play, so use it. Since this project is always changing, things will become better or worse with games/revisions as time goes on. Until there is one revision that works perfectly well for all games and all PC specs, use what works best for you.

Well, thanks for the info Oh, btw if anybody does know a revision that is currently out and fixes the graphical issues in the menu without FPS impact feel free to recommend 03-27-2011, 09:15 AM
your homework is to look through the "SVN Revision Discussion" section to find the thread that already discusses the most used revisions

Muramasa runs smoothly for me in most of the semi-late revisions. r7125 and r7236 are two examples of revisions that are working well with this game. I just tried r7419 and it looks like that one also worked. The few 73xx rev's I've tried give me a little stuttering in some of the menus. D3D11 works best (there is lag and/or bugs with both OpenGL and D3D9 for me). Settings wise, I go with accurate texture cache (fast) and EFB copy to texture. "Enable CPU access" and "Emulate format changes" are checked. "Load native mipmaps" and "EFB sealed copy" are checked as well. As for sound, I've chosen LLE and checked the "DSP LLE on thread" box. Audio throttle is off and framelimit is on auto. The game runs well in 1920x1080 and with 3x EFB scale with these settings. I hope this helps. At least this makes the game run as it should for me.
