For a while now I have followed the development of JPCSP but never had the guts to try it out.
But today I decided to boot up my PSP with CFW and grab my Akumajou Dracula X Chronicle game and save file and give it a go.

My first impression, WOW!

It works really good but it's slow sometimes when playing Dracula X Remake, the original games (Dracula X - Chi no Rondo and Gekka no Yasoukyoku (Symphony of the Night)) are working at really good framerates with little to none graphical issues.

If you're gonna attempt this, keep in mind that you'll need a very very good PC.
You'll also need Java Runtime Environment (JRE) and SonicStage from Sony to get music in game.

This is definitely a emulator to watch and it's constantly in development.

Nice of you to join the party Duke, I've been using this emulator for almost two years now :p

I've only dumped Disgaea 2 and Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep. Messing around with the options, I've gotten it to where neither has any noticeable slowdowns; you should investigate them yourself too. It's sweet being able to play PSP games in HD.

Yeah there is some slowdowns even though I have a good PC but I was expecting this since I have read about it.
At first before I found out you had to have SonicStage from Sony in able to have fully working sound and music the speeds were much better and smooth.
A Castlevania game without music isn't very much enjoyable and I'm experimenting with different settings to get better speeds.

But I'm guessing as the development of the emulator goes on things are gonna get better in given time.
I have another game I'm gonna try out someday and it's Lunar Silver Star Harmony, a remake from Lunar Silver Star Story Complete.

I'm glad I took the leap and tried this, it paid off big time and I'm looking forward to the future 0.7 release.

I guess experimenting with different settings was a great idea, all of a sudden I can play this game like nothing at all.
Except for minor minor graphical issues it's like the Duke says: "It's looking good!"
What a glorious day it turned out to be after all Smile And all this in a days work, not bad at all.

Just some footage from Lunar Silver Star Harmony. Speed is great but the text and cutscenes get cutoff sometimes unfortunately but someday...just someday it will be perfect.

Didn't quite expect things to be this great and that this game would work as good as it did.

I like that it can export whatever is on the screen to OBJ, only downside being png texture and it's harder to load all these objects.
