Ravensoft officially took down the source code but you might still be able to grab it here: http://archive.org/details/jediacademy_source

And yes I have the game on steam, why do you ask?

It's likely pretty dead. And as amazing as it was back in the day the mechanics are pretty dated at this point.

The main reason i was thinking about this game was because i saw a multiplayer game on youtube and if there were servers that could be easily accessed (read: no signups) I would play it with some people here that have it but I guess that was just a pipe dream.

I was thinking about doing a mod for post-processing effects while i'm learning learning C++ and opengl for a little project to see what I'm learning.

Well it's based off of the quake III engine and that's open source now so you're better off modding that.

I know it's based off of the quake III engine but I really wanted to see what it would look like on jedi academy but I could always port it over.

Would shaders for Jedi Outcast or Quake 3 work for Jedi Academy? They all use the same engine so i'm 99% sure but I still wanted to make sure.

I don't know for sure but I would think so.

Jedi Academy and Jedi Outcast use the exact same engine. The quake III engine is slightly different.

The only difference is the Lightsaber combat. I guess shaders would be the same.
