I am a newbie to these forums. I hope therefore I am able to meet the very high standards that are required for these forums. I tried to upload a screenshot of my issue, but the file size is limited to 500kb which, is difficult to compress on a 4k screen without it looking pixelated.
I've been having problems with the Integrated GBA using Mario Golf Toadstool Tour and Advance Tour. The result is that everything works as normal, The game loads and functions perfectly, the BIOS, the ROM, the save file, but, it will not launch the link screen that should be present.
What should happen is the start menu should stay for a few moments before fading to black and then launching the link screen. This is not happening and instead, both games are just running, and that is it.
I have tried everything, read all the forums online, watched almost every YouTube video I can find, making sure the save files are in the correct place, same file, same drive. The rom is connected to the right port and the right controller options are selected. The save files are linked, The right -1 affix is present. The 'connected' button is activated.
This was not a problem about 2-3 years ago and the link work just fine, but there now seems to be a problem with the linkage. Could it be something to do with a Windows update or firewall that prevents the linkage?
I have even tried older versions of Dolphin such as 5.0 and earlier versions of vGBA, with the whole 'local mode', 'link at boot' and link type: Gamecube, but they do not seem to work either. I've tried different save files but they no longer work either. I tried the same procedure on my previous gen PC, the only difference was that the vGBA was flagging up an error of 'joybus invalid, disabling'. A few years ago, this was not a problem.
Would appreciate any help and will try to include screenshots in the near future. As also required by the forum rules, here are the PC specs I'm trying to run this on.
