I have recently started playing the Gamecube version of Ocarina of Time, and at some point I noticed that when I let go completely of the joystick on my controller(Windows Xbox 360 controller) that Link would immediately spin backwards to face the camera, which I knew definitely wasn't happening earlier in the game. I swapped out to another Windows XB360 but the problem was still there, I played around with the deadzones on the joysticks but that didn't change anything. I eventually completely wiped the controller config and bound only the targetting button, and not the joystick, and still found that Link would spin around to face the camera no matter what. I tested it out to see if it was just OOT, but it happened on Wind Waker as well, except it was much more subtle, with Link only spinning slowly to the right. Anybody know a fix for this? Thanks.

EDIT: I have tested with the 4.0.2 version of Dolphin and the problem is gone, so it seems to be an issue with the most recent version of Dolphin.

Did you check to see how your x360 controller is behaving in the Devices control panel?

Yes, it's behaving normally.  Additionally, the issue still occurs even when my controller is completely unplugged.

Increase the deadzone. The 360 joysticks are notably inaccurate and require a huge deadzone.

I have tested the deadzone at max and it still happens, and like I said the issue still happens with the controller unplugged so it seems like some kind of emulator problem, or at least, nothing to do with the actual joystick.

I feel like sonic adventure was doing something weird if the second controller was plugged in.

I only have one controller plugged in so I don't think that would be the issue. I'm going to see if using an older version of Dolphin solves anything.

I usually use my PS3 controller with Dolphin, but I decided to configure it to use my x360 controller. I loaded the Zelda Collector's Edition and played a little bit of Ocarina Of Time on the latest dev build of Dolphin. Game ran just fine with my x360 controller so I don't think it's an issue with Dolphin

EDIT2: I somehow managed to fix it, I'm not entirely sure how, but I believe it had something to do with making a manual save to the disk file(as opposed to using a save state)on the older version of Dolphin and then loading that save on the current version of Dolphin.
