Hello

I have the lates build 5474, but i cant get it to work whit the direct 3d9 plugin, at first there was a bug framebuffer manager something, i fix that, but now when i step on the world map button to start playing it turns black and i cant play, sound i still on though, i think this is the best plug in becose i dont see any slownes, very smoth gameplay, as i do whit opengl plugin its slow most of the time, i really would love to play whit the direct 3d9 plug in, any solution?

It works great whit opengl exept for slownes, but 3d9 it so much better for me at least.

quad core q9400 2.66 at 3.6
4gb ddr3 1600
evga gtx260 core216
windows 7 ultimate x64

edit: seems that i have another problem, this time its using openGL, when i get to the end of the second world get the grand star just before i start selecting maps the dolphin crashes and i dont get to any checkpoit or save, so im pretty much screwed becose i get on an infinite loop of doing it again, any solutions for that?

How did you get around the framebuffer manager error.

SMG games can only emulate 100% through opengl if you have nvidia gpu. DX9 will work too, and at reasonable speed.. But will crash with black screen during all big animations like boss.

The fbmanager issue doesn't exist with ati or integrated intel gpu.

I also have that framebuffer manager error with directx and i have ati radeon hd 4870 card. I get the error when i step onto the step where the wheel is on the ship but if i switch from full screen the error don't come up but i still get a black screen after collecting the grand star after the first galaxy boss. I get the black screen at the same place even with open gl.

Huh Must be a new issue with smg2. With last game, James333 made a query, and all affected users had nvidia card. But in this game some people with radeon card get black screen bug.

To quote xtreme2damax solution from other topic

Quote:Use LLE sound plugin

The problem is it makes fps drop a lot. And it makes you wonder why a sound bug will cause framebuffer error.

Even for your Core i7 and Nvidia GTX 280, the LLE plugin still causes a massive decrease in speed for you?

Wow. Confused

Guess there's no point for me to get rid of my current Core2duo E8500 system for a more powerful/expensive i7 system right yet. Sad

There's barely any point to upgrade to i7 and high end cards like radeon 5970 or gtx295 just to play dolphin games. You will already get maximum speed with i3 dual core or amd phenom x4 and a medium range card like ati 5570. My main pc is in 24/7 server & occassional 3dsmax/maxwell rendering and modelling use. It would be a waste as an emulation rig.

Another LLE issue is inaudible or crackling sound in games. While it can fix progressing in the storyline, it will seem more like a chore than playing a game compared to dsphle plugin

Well I was also considering upgrading for PC games and multi-tasking as well, but I thought a Core i7 and a Nvidia 280 GTX would at least offer better performance with resource hungry applications such as Dolphin, I thought that Copy EFB to Ram and the DSP-LLE plugin would be quite a bit faster than with my current PC.
