Dolphin stops responding when I try to close it out, also wont save last graphics card change. (Attempt to switch from DX12 to DX11 wont save, and to close out dolphin I have to spam the X and then end process or use task manager.) Running as admin didnt do anything for me. I am running on the latest version of Dolphin.

If Dolphin crashes, it won't actually flush its settings to the configuration file, which makes sense.
Does just opening/closing Dolphin reproduce the freeze? Have you tried making a fresh portable build? If you still see issues, it may be best to download the free version of Visual Studio and compile it yourself so you can attach the debugger and see where it's crashing. 05-01-2019, 11:19 AM

Creating the portable.txt where the dolphin executable is did fix the issue. Would it be best if I just use this and reconfigure dolphin as well as transport the textures I had in the global directory? Or is there another way for me to go about fixing it? 05-01-2019, 03:26 PM
Where did you install Dolphin normally? It sounds like an anti-virus or Windows protection is preventing Dolphin from writing essential data.

However I just replaced the dolphin folder directory created from the portable with my settings and save data as well as removed the portable text and everything went normal and acted right again once I then moved that modified folder into the global directory. 05-05-2019, 12:24 AM
Windows doesn't always like programs writing to the root of the harddrive, so, it could have been a permissions problem.
