Issue with wii classic controller extension

I'm pretty sure this has been asked and answered here many times, and I've done some search, but I'm still struggling with this.

I'm using Dolphin 5 and an xbox controller. I've done the mapping in Controllers-->Wiimote 1-->Emulated Wiimote-->Configure, and in there I've also done mapping in Extension-->Classic-->Configure. Somehow it looks like when I'm in the game, it still loads as Nunchuk extension. (While in game, I opened controller options and under Wiimote 1 configure it's pointing to Nunchuk.) I've also tried clearing the Wiimote mapping and only mapped the extension, but still nothing happens.

I searched in the forum and in post someone said I need to use controller setting other than 1, otherwise the game would detect me as using Wiimote + Nunchuk, so I cleared Wiimote 1 configure, and set up Wiimote 2. So when I'm in the game, it Wiimote is not connected. Then I went to the controller options and did the mapping for Wiimote 2 (again, selecting Classic extension). After this I was able to press the button once, then the "wiimote not connected" message showed up again. Meanwhile in the upper left corner, where Dolphin message usually shows up in yellow, I saw a message which said "Wiimote 2 disconnected by emulator software". But when I went to the Dolphin main screen, at the bottom it says "Wiimote connected". And when I chose Options-->Connect Wiimote, it still kept saying wiimote disconnected.

Please, could someone give any suggestion on this? Really appreciate it.

Yes I have. (And that actually made me lose my save state, which I didn't know about and is not important.)

And I cannot use TAB to disable emulation speed limit in full screen, and the audio sounds weird. Maybe I should switch back the stable build.

But anyway, the issue with classic extension still exists.

Edited: With the new build, I've tried mapping wiimote and classic extension both, and only Home button and Left stick work.

What you should do is Map the Wiimote+extension in the slot you want to use it in... e.g. Wiimote+classic in Emulated Wiimote 1, where you got that information that it otherwise doesn't work is a complete mystery to me.

You should also always use the latest Development version. If there are issues in that version they usually get ironed out quite fast. The sound warping and not being able to unlock the framerate (Turbo) sounds to me that your computer might not be up to the task of emulating a GC/Wii. Could you please update your profile with the exact CPU and GPU you are using, you can find small applications that tell you everything you might need (e.g. https://www.cpuid.com/downloads/cpu-z/cpu-z_1.84-en.exe)
Check my profile for up to date specs.
