So I just installed Dolphin 5 x64 on my Windows 10 laptop and i'm having an issue where settings don't save. Stuff like controller setup, graphics settings and even games folder. Reset right after i close Dolphin. The controller issue is even worse, because if i start a game, it resets and reverts to mouse and keyboard immediately Sad

I've got dolphin installed in D:\Gaming\Dolphin and the my documents stuff is in E:\Documents\Dolphin Emulator (I set my documents to my this drive to free up the SSD the OS is on) Not sure if this can be messing anything up...

Can anyone help me out with this?

Thanks Smile

Sounds like a permissions issue.

2 solutions here:

1. Check the properties of the Dolphin Emulator folder in documents.

1a. Check to make sure it's not read only

1b. Check to make sure you are the owner of the folder and have read, write and create access to the folder.

2. Use the portable mode by throwing a blank "portable.txt" next to dolphin.exe and it will create a "User" folder in the same directory.

Nice! Thank you!  Messing around with the permissions of the Dolphin Emulator seems to have fixed it Smile
