I'm having some really weird issues with Super Mario Galaxy (PAL).
I have 2 different versions of Dolphin that i tried it on. I mainly have 2 problems and 1 of them was fixed on the older version that im using atm. But the other problem exists on both versions.

I have a real wiimote and a real nunchuk. My issues are:

Dolphin x64 4.0-9327
I boot the game and im kind of forced to go with hybrid mode because i dont have a sensor bar. When i get to the star festival part in the beginning, the game acts as if im holding the nunchuk stick towards upper right. No way to fix this unless i play with Real Wiimote instead of Hybrid but then i cant do anything with pointer because i dont have a sensor bar. The other issue is that shake doesnt work. AT ALL. Not on any of the versions. Just doesnt register it. Doesnt matter if i set it to real or hybrid, it still wont register shake. So i cant shake to spin. Tried with 2 different wiimotes, and same problem on both.

Dolphin x64 3.0-631
I mainly use this version for Mario Galaxy because i have better and more stable fps on it.
Same thing, i go hybrid because i have no sensor bar. Nunchuk acts if as if im holding the stick lower left. I unplug nunchuk and plug it back in and now it works correctly. Everything now works except one crucial thing. THE DAMN SHAKE. Again, the emulator or the game wont register my wiimote shaking. I have gone into the configuration settings for hybrid wiimote and unbinded every single thing except for the pointer and i disabled nunchuk there. No change.

EDIT: Shake does work in Newer Super Mario Bros Wii. So its not a faulty wiimote.

I am seriously out of ideas, i cant progress the game without shake. Thats just not possible and i dont want it binded anywhere. I want it to work on my wiimote.
Anyone have any clue whats going on here? If you want my full dolphin config settings, just ask.

Did you get to the part of the game where you unlock shaking?

You know what, i now feel really really stupid! I did get to the part where bowser appears and the kind of apocalypse starts and there are frozen people there. Tried to shake there and it didn't work. I don't know why but i was so sure that spinning is available from the start and not unlocked later. I'm gonna continue on and see if it unlocks.

Thanks for reminding me!

It's right after that. You get the ability to shake after you're done with the Star Festival part but before you get to the Comet Observatory. Since it's so incredibly early, it's easy to forget that it isn't available at the very beginning.
