I've been trying to get Monster Hunter Tri working, and I've run into an issue where it looks like there is a filter covering the top 70% of the game.

The top image is what it looks like with EFB skip on, and the bottom is what it looks like while it is off. I have an earlier revision that doesn't run into this issue with EFB skip, but there are other issues that make me not want to use it. Visually this is the best revision I have found. Looking forward to a reply, thanks!

Use OpenGL; it does not have this issue. I don't know what D3D is doing wrong in this game, but I noticed it doing EFB Pokes improperly in other areas too. You could disable EFB Access to CPU without problems imo. The only thing it's used for is EFB Pokes for selecting character color during generation. You shouldn't need it otherwise. I'll make an issue report on the tracker for this later, mind if I use your screenshots as examples?

I have it running on OpenGL, but it isn't even playable without EFB skip enabled. I'm getting like 5 fps without it, and I have a 4770k and GTX 760.

Okay, thanks. Just run with Skip EFB Access to CPU checked, it shouldn't break the game.

Unfortunately the game looks awful with EFB skip enabled with OpenGL on 4.0.2. I had it working on revision 3.0-887 earlier, but there were some texture issues which seem to have been fixed with the activation of Per-Pixel Lighting. Also, I had an issue where I went into an area and it started playing random audio files from the game. Hopefully it wont happen again or I will be able to fix it. I appreciate the help.

Just run the game with the option checked? It doesn't need to be on. Also, the thing where it plays random audio files will happen again, use the latest builds if possible.
