Issue Transferring Dolphin Game Save Data to Wii (Pokemon Rumble)

I've exported my save file for Pokemon Rumble by using the "Export All Wii Saves" function in Dolphin. I'm trying now to move it to my Wii, and when I try to do it via the Wii's Save Data Management, I get the message saying "The data may not have been copied." When I load up Pokemon Rumble on my Wii, the save file from Dolphin is not loading up. I only have the option to start a new game.

I've heard that some games have protected save data. I've heard this is more common with games from the Wii shop (WiiWare), but I'm not sure how valid that information is. I'm using SaveGame Manager GX to load my save from Dolphin, but it just says "Loading Data.bin Structure", then pauses, and then returns to the Homebrew channel main menu.

I'm using Dolphin v5.0-9413. Is the "Export All Wii Saves" still having issues? I know that earlier versions of Dolphin could not properly export Wii saves, but I'm on the latest version.

Do I need to do the method that Medard22 used in his post about transferring his Skyward Sword save data? If so, how do I access the Wii System Menu in Dolphin?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Smile

I'm having this very issue.  Whether I export all the Wii saves or just for an individual game, attempting to import it to the Wii fails every time.  I have tried in both Savegame Manager GX and the standard Data Management SD card transfer of the Wii itself; Savegame Manager GX crashes upon trying to read the data.bin file, and the Wii's Data Management looks like it's working, but then gives the message that the file "might" not have been copied.

It was doing this on the older revision of Dolphin 5.0 I had been using, so I updated to the latest dev revision of the moment (5.0-9781), but that didn't change anything.

As for how to load the Wii System Menu in Dolphin, you should be able to go to the "Tools" menu and choose "Load Wii System Menu."  I suppose I'll probably end up just doing it through there, unless anyone has any better ideas.

If you were using Dolphin 5.0, due to bugs in how it handled the NAND, your NAND is corrupted. You'll have to use Dolphin's checkNAND feature to repair it. SD loading of saves didn't work in 5.0 as well.

Also note Nintendo is really weird with the Wii - in order to copy a savefile you need to already have a savefile for that game to overwrite.
