ISO's...Need mounting????

Hi i am totally new to this emulator...i have just installed the most recent version plus i have the iso file for the new zelda. When i try and directly open the ISO file i get error messages and the emulator sometimes just force quits itself. Do the ISO files need to be mounted before dolphin will recognise them?? I'm running dolphin on a 2011 macbook pro.

The chances are good that you just have a bad game file. Also, why would you post that you get an error message and then never explain what the message says? Do you think that is helpful?
