ISO file mounting problem

Hi everybody,

Dolphin is acting strangely on my pc: it does not detect any ISO file in the folder where they are classified. I configured the path, but the ISO window remains empty ("Dolphin could not find any GameCube/Wii ISOs (...)").

If I go through File / Open ... and I double-click on the ISO, I get: The specified file "xxx.iso" does not exist.
But, if I mount the ISO file in the virtual drive (Virtual CloneDrive) and I go through File / Boot from DVD backup ... in Dolphin, the game starts.

I tried several versions of Dolphin and several versions of ISO games, the behavior remains the same. Over a dozen ISO tested, there's only one that was normally displayed in the ISO window of Dolphin. For others, I have to go through the virtual drive.

Do you have a solution to this problem please? Thanks in advance !

Does the issue happen on 4.0.2?

Yes, it did. So I uninstalled it. But I just tried 4.0.2 again, and the issue does not happen anymore  Huh

It's still happening on 4.0-8201.

Then it sounds like this issue: https://bugs.dolphin-emu.org/issues/9044

There is no known solution, but it's nice that you managed to find the workaround of mounting the disc. I don't think anyone has thought about that before, because mounting a disc when using Dolphin is not useful in most other cases.

Thanks for your answer. Yes, it seems to be the same issue.

So I will continue on 4.0.2, and with the virtual drive on development versions.

4.0.2 is quite old by now, so if you want a version that doesn't have the problem, use this: https://dolphin-emu.org/download/dev/master/4.0-7528/
