Is worth buying a wiimote to use the emulator?

I tried a noname wii controller+nunchack I got from my local store but I couldn't connect them via bluetooth.

I got this stuff and it works(I also got jp ones etc., all working), however the wiimote rumble seems cheap and sounds more like a dust cleaner.
The A button needs a slightly harder push than the genuine one. Another friend of mine bought the black knock off from dealsextreme, works as well.
Same two issues, but for that prices its grant I guess.
The only issue worth mentioning it, is actually the nunchuks analog stick that gets worn out pretty fast compared to a genuine.
If you can live with that its grant, considering a price that is just 1/3 of the genuine equipment. Especially if ur planing on buying them as additional controllers its pretty neat, since they don't get used 24/7 anyways.
If you should have problems connecting them use bluesoleil in worst case, usually it will work that way. But the ms bluetooth stack does the trick most of the time.

How do you modfiy it? Is it easy, or is there some wiring required?

Also, that item you linked it out of stock. Will any x->USB connector work, or does it have to be NDS->USB?

Any usb-to-x connector will do it in the end. Modding is simple, since you don't even need to solder it. Open the sensorbar and cut a small hole with a knife into the plastic case so u can pull the cable through it. Cut the cable open on. There will be usually 2-4 wires, since we only need power via usb, u just need the red and black one(colors might slighty be different). Take the one colored wire and just wrap it around the metal connector of the battery tray and do the same stuff with the other wire and remaining second metal connector of the battery tray. Voila. To keep the cable pull-resistent, just knot the cable inside the case before the hole and your good to go.
Took me 5 minutes. (USB voltage(5V) is fine, since the sensorbar uses 4.8-6 V via batteries usually)
