Hi,

I just installed the latest Dolphin and tried Brawl and NSMB.

Although I really love the previous versions of these games, they are not fun at all.

There is a feeling that the characters are slow and sticky.

I'm using a 360 controller. Is it possible that it has something to do with the controllers settings?

So it's not a known problem or something?

I don't know, NSMB just feels slow and unresponsive compared to Super mario world for example. And Brawl is very different from Melee. It also feels slow and unresponsive(when I used the speed option in custom match it did feel a little better).

Have you played Brawl on a real Wii? On real hardware, the controls definitely feel different from Melee; it takes some getting used to. Melee is in general faster paced than Brawl and the controls in Brawl are a bit "looser" than Melee. It may be that you're just having trouble adjusting to how different the games are. Going from Smash Bros. (N64) to Melee is a similar "shock" for those that remember the early days of the Gamecube.

Can't speak for Super Mario World, but NSMB Wii feels just fine if you've played the original NSMB on the DS.

umm, like they dont run at full speed or dont move slowly??? try adjusting your dead zones in the controller config.

It's probably like I suggested; you're just not used to Brawl's slower pace. A lot of serious Smash Bros players will tell you they can feel the difference between the two games.
