Is there anyway to make dolphin playable on my pc?

Hello guys
i want to use dolphin on my pc but it works only with 5 fps or so on ...

my pc is : intel pentium 4 3.00 ghz
2048mbytes ram
ati hd 3600 series
with 512 mb memory

games like bioshock or crysis works why doesnt dolphin work correctly ?

i know that itpentium 4 is very slow but is there anyway to let the graphics card work exept of the ip4?

i run dolphin a bit more then half speed on my P4 3Ghz & Geforce 8600 GT

Hmm, i made opengl as graphic driver now and enable dual core ...
and now i have 15 fps ^^
much more but not playable yet q.q
please more help :o

What game are you trying to run?

animal crossing city folk
german games are pal and american games are ntsc or?
because i am german and got it in germany than i think its pal if u help this
