I downloaded the latest apk file, and it was not able to run vulkan, so I tried reverting to a previous version, though the installer would not allow me to do so. I uninstalled dolphin and re-installed a previous version, and now all of my save data is gone....any chance I would be able to get the data back?
is there any way to recover saves after uninstalling?

Unfirtunately nope..next time u better copy the whole folder from ur memory ..save it inside another empty folder...delete every single file from dolphin...and also doing this..try to install the very latest apk ..sometimes might be something that goes in conflict with other files and wont allow u to run dolphin like it should ..I did this few times..and honeslty it worked

Whenever I uninstall Dolphin and revert to a previous version, the Dolphin folder containing my settings and saves STILL remain, unless I delete the folder myself. I just tried this and all of my data for Dolphin is intact. I'm not sure what the issue is in that case...I see there are save states in my files , from months ago, but I cannot access them in dolphin 10-31-2018, 06:03 AM

They will not work if the dolphin version has changed at all. And save states are considered rather unstable at times, they can often break, and you certainly shouldn't rely on them. It may be possible to get /exactly/ the same version as they were created with, load them, use the "real" in-game save system, then load that in a newer version of dolphin. 10-31-2018, 08:03 AM

Actually, sometimes they will work across versions if the versions are similar enough. But you never really know which updates could cause the compatibility to break, so (for that reason and other reasons) you should always rely on normal saves rather than savestates. 10-31-2018, 08:11 AM
so I uninstalled the version I downloaded after uninstalling the first time, went back to the previous version I was playing on before uninstalling , and all my save states were playable! thanks everyone !

Yeah, but it's easier and simpler to say than "Save states may randomly break on any version change with no obvious notice in the changelogs" 10-31-2018, 08:44 AM

You have to backup your Dolphin Folder before uninstalling, because unfortunately if you don't all your saves get deleted with the apk. I backed up my saves as soon as I first uninstalled the app and realized my folder was then gone.
