So i been trying to play Megaman X Command Mission on dolphin for android, and i tried varius settings, for having a good fps, but i only seen to get good fps if i set emulation speed to 9.0, and i get realy easy 60+FPS, but the game become to accelerated, does that mean that my cellphone can run it at 60FPS normaly? Can i limit the fps but still leaving emulating speed at 9.0?

The FPS only goes though 60 in the EU version of the game, the US seens to crave at 60 or below.

My smartphone is a Xiaomi A2.

Sorry, but what's this "emulation speed" you're talking about? I don't know of any feature in Dolphin with that name...

In .ini file its EmulationSpeed, in the app its called speed limit on cpu settings.

You are not supposed to modify emulation settings inside the .ini file that are not in the GUI. Of course you can, but at your own risk (and I doubt devs will give support for such modifies which for sure break emulation in some ways)...

Modifying the INI files is fine, but I really don't know why an extreme value like 9.0 would be useful in this case...

It's probably because their CPU won't run at full clocks unless given a sufficiently heavy load, and 9x emulation speed cap will certainly do that.

In fact, you are asking how to limit the FPS without using the FPS limiter.

some games have an FPS limiting AR Code. that's the only way I've seen. Makes MKDD work good.

May I suggest to try this settings instead:

TimingVariance = 200
EmulationSpeed = 1.0

So the speed shall be normal again, but the throttler will allow bigger idle times up to 200ms instead of the default value of 40ms. If it doesn't help, just try to increase it further. Will you replay the results on your device?

I have tested your settings and also tried to increase the timing variance and I have not noticed any changes. I've tried it in demanding games like gun, starfox assault, eternal darkness and the sands of time with my xiaomi mi 6
