I'm interested in making very custom controls that can't be done with a simple mapping. I wonder if it's possible to somehow get a script that processes raw inputs then creates inputs to feed directly into dolphin?

Thanks  Big Grin

What sort of custom controls are you looking to do? because if you right-click on a button, you can map complex inputs

Well, I was wondering if I could make skyward sword on a controller. Not just like in the bindings, but to bring back old zelda controls. For example, I would say that if the analog is in the upper region, and the player presses B, it would make the motion plus do a stab motion. I don't think that is possible with the custom controls.

If there isn't a way to directly input into dolphin, I guess I can just make a virtual controller and then bind that to dolphin. Then have my script manipulate that controller.

Dolphin doesn't emulate a motion+ for skyward sword anyway so it won't do any good.

Only with a fork of an old version. We most likely won't be able to help you with anything you're wondering about that fork.

They must be using a real controller.

If it can support wii motes, why can't it support emulated wiimotes? I guess it isn't as easy as it sounds. But maybe I could get started by trying to do that? IDK this seems out of my reach now.

Hmm, what if I get the data the wii mote is sending and record it? Like, I record the motion of a stab, then replay that when the player presses up and b.
