Well, it is used, but if it works I don`t care if its new or used
I`ll give it a try, and hopefully I can play Mario Kart 07-10-2015, 11:03 PM
I suddenly remembered why the HD 6870 is collecting dust. It don`t fit in my Antec Fusion.
In that case , either get rid of your case or buy this R7 360
R7 360 is on par with GTX 750 in benchmark . No improvement over HD6870 in performance Choose your poison Laptop: Mini PC :: (07-10-2015, 07:34 PM)skrue Wrote: I actually have a Radeon XFX HD 6870 laying around, collecting dust. Will this help or is it the same **** as my HD4400? LOL It's a beast of a GPU (compared to that HD4400 IGP). It can handle everything at 4x IR (or up to 6x IR if you use the Direct3D backend). It's also better than the GTX 750. Remember, Dolphin uses the GPU in a different way: Integer processing performance (even the the old TeraScale2 architecture was great in this area), memory bandwidth (bus width, VRAM speeds) and pixel throughput (ROPs) are the only things that matter. Texture throughput (TMUs) and geometry performance (tessellation) is not important. That old, dusty HD6870 has everything you need for Dolphin (plus the drivers are very stable / optimized to the max. for this type of GPU architecture). 07-12-2015, 06:24 PM

I am sure it is The problem is that it wont`t fit in my computer case So I have to find the best GPU within my budget (120$) that will make my system run wii games smoothly and will fit in Antec Fusion Remote.
How will Asus GTX650 Ti Boost 2gb or Asus GTX 650-DC-1GD5 performe in Dolphin?
It looks like booth of them will fith, and is easy to find used 07-13-2015, 12:22 AM
I will give ASUS GeForce GTX 650 Ti Boost DirectCU II dual-fan a go, and hopefully it does the job without to much noise. If so I don't have to use over a 100$ on a new card
Well , it's a good GPU
Edit : It's a very big card . Are you sure it won't be useless like your HD6870 Laptop: Mini PC :: 07-15-2015, 03:12 PM
If the budget is 120$ and the problem is the case , why not get a bigger case instead?
