Is there any way for dolphin to recognize the GCN controller as a classic controller?

my question is in the title. there's a wii game that doesn't have gamecube controller support that i would like to play, and i was wondering if there was any way to trick dolphin into reading the gamecube controller as a wii classic controller instead. thank you
