you can also trim/scrub ISOs and they will work on both Dolphin and Wii
tbh i cant think of someone who has the money to buy loads of Wii/GC games and not have enough money for a HDD, a 160GB drive salvaged from my old laptop can hold ~30 games uncompressed and thats good enough.
i bought a new HDD for both Wii and GC games and its only taken less than a quarter of the space

Hi, I've just registered only to beg of you to please do implement WBFS support. I am sure I am not the only one with a 500gb hd full of games!!! It would be great to just plug my hd drive into my macbook or into the wii and just play without worrying about compatibility issues. It would be just mad to try and extract all the 250+ games and then compress them back etc. Please for the sake of time if its not too much of a hassel please do support WBFS.

Thank you

I love your Emu!!! playing it on a pc/mac really makes it like a total new experience with the enhancment of new graphic cards etc. Thank you for all the great work!

While this issue does not affect me (i only have 1 wbfs file, which brought me here) i do believe you should support wbfs. I'm sure alot of people have a stack of games in wbfs format and the thought of converting them all must be daunting.

Some of you might want to check out this thread:

Maybe something like this ^^^ could be wrote into Dolphin?
One more thing, for backwards compatibility sake,

does the Wii support .gcz files?

Not that I know of.

If you don't like having x amount of 4gb files, use Wii Scrubber and trim the ISO, it will go down a whole lot (Unless the game is SSBB, that will go up to 7gb...). I just used it and it made a 4.7GB file go down to 430MB.

Are you a pirate? All SSBB dumps should be 7.4 GB unless you downloaded it from someone who trimmed off the cutscenes so it could fit on a single-layer DVD.
So yeah, don't download Brawl.

Don't talk about piracy unless it's obvious that someone illegally downloaded a game. Case closed, no need to further talk about it.

I.m.h.o. it's a bit pointless to have a long discussion about whether or not wbfs files should be supported when there is a patch available already. For those who aren't aware of it please read here.

The only question now is if there are any technical reasons why this patch should not be included in the main project fork. If there is none, then it should be no problem to do so.

Obviously there is a demand for this format for whatever reason, and the patch is obviously not a really big thing - for me it will remain a forum logic mystery why a simple functionality request like this has to turn into a format flamewar or even piracy suspicion (being pointless as well because even self-creating copies of games I own on a hacked console in ISO format is probably as good or bad as using any other format or even source - look at Nintendo's EULA and most national copyright laws. Either you're pregnant or you aren't, there's nothing in between. Let him who is without sin among you be the first to throw a stone...).

Hey Guys, calm down. If you ask for a hammer then you don't want to hear that using screws is better anyway and that people asking for hammers are likely to kill somebody a few minutes later.

I have ripped my originals to wbfs as well and I really agree that it would be nice to use the same USB drive with the Wii and with Dolphin. I only have about 20 games and of course I can rip them all again or convert the wbfs's to ISOs, but if the solution is so close already then why should I want to spend all this time on it again?
