Is there a way to use the wii fit balance board as the nunchuk for the wiimote

My neighbor recently gave me one of those wii fit balance boards and I figured it might be fun to use it instead of a nunchuk. While it works as a joypad pretty well, I can't think of a way to integrate the other features into it (shaking the nunchuk, the z and c buttons). Anyone got any ideas?
