tl;dr is there any way of using controller port 4 on the GC controller adapter as my player 1/primary controller in Dolphin?
I was sort of dumb and ordered a cheap 10 dollar GC adapter on eBay from China, it's model is BX-W201 and has no other identifying information than that. I've been able to get it working on my Switch and my Wii U with no problems other than one caveat, being only port 4 works correctly. This isn't a huge problem for me, I don't usually play local multiplayer and there's other ways to do that. However, I'd like to also use it in single-player games. The way Dolphin's compatibility with the adapter works as one reading this would probably know is that ports 1-4 on the controller configuration directly relate to ports 1-4 on the adapter. This forces me to always be player 4, or it wouldn't work. I just want to be able to use Player 4 as my primary controller, or some other method of using it as such.
