When playing a game in a window, if the game's resolution is less than the average 640 x 528 it puts black bars inbetween the video screen and the edge of the window. This bothers me because then there are gaps inbetween the game's screen and the edge of the window frame.
I play GC games at x1 in a window. Usually the rendered resolution for a game is 636 x 524, that does not bother me, it is such a small thin unnoticeable black line. But, for a game that renders at 584 x 480, the black gaps are very noticeable.
